Position Overview:
First Choice Homecare Agency is seeking a skilled and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to provide in-home skilled nursing services for a client in McDonough, GA. This is a 1099 independent contractor role with a flexible schedule based on physician orders.

Client Overview:
- Female client
- Requires skilled nursing services
- Care includes:
- TPN (Total Parenteral Nutrition) management and administration
- Medication administration (subcutaneous injections)
- Abdominal Drain care and Monitoring
- Schedule: To Be Determined (pending physician orders and authorization)
Compensation:
- $40–$50 per hour (based on experience and case complexity)
- OR $60 per visit (depending on services provided)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver skilled nursing care in accordance with physician orders and plan of care
- Manage and monitor TPN administration
- Medication administration
- Perform drain care, assessments, and interventions
- Monitor patient condition and report changes promptly
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation
- Follow all agency, Medicaid, and state regulatory requirements
Minimum Requirements (DBHDD-Aligned Contractor Requirements):
- Active Georgia/Compact RN or license (in good standing)
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (homecare, ICU preferred)
- Current CPR/BLS or ACLS certification
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a criminal background check in accordance with Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities standards
- Negative TB screening/test
- Proof of professional liability insurance (required for 1099 contractors)
- Knowledge of and compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Experience with IV therapy/TPN strongly preferred
Required DBHDD Trainings (MANDATORY):
Contractors must complete and maintain all required trainings in accordance with Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities guidelines, including but not limited to:

- Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation Prevention
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Emergency Preparedness & Safety Procedures
- Incident Reporting (Critical Incident Reporting)
- Any additional DBHDD-required trainings applicable to the case
Note: Proof of completed trainings will be required prior to assignment. Assistance may be provided to obtain required trainings.
Additional Expectations:
- Must adhere to professional boundaries and ethical standards
- Must follow agency protocols for documentation, communication, and care coordination
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality patient care
Compensation: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
